Quick Start Guide

  1. Install and start the Iotellect Server version 6.4 or higher.

  2. Log in to the system.

  3. Deploy the preinstalled Platform Administration Kit application
    (users.%.applications.platformAdministrationKit), if it is not already deployed,
    and re-enter the server administration panel.

  4. Install Iotellect Monitoring MES or the Iotellect Monitoring MES Core module only from the Public Store,
    then restart the server.

  5. After the Iotellect Monitoring MES Core application installation and deployment,
    the system tree will include models and contexts required
    to create the enterprise’s digital twin.

Populating the System with Data

The following steps are recommended to configure base system data.

  1. Define standard work schedules.
    In the Additional Properties of the Shifts absolute model, edit the Shifts variable by adding records for existing shifts and their work schedules.

  2. Transfer existing production entities (enterprises, sites, areas, cells/lines, units, and modules) into the system along with their hierarchy. Use the Enterprise context and its nested contexts in the System Tree.

  3. For each created production entity, open Edit Additional Properties and specify:

    • the time zone of the entity (optional, inherited by default from the higher-level entity or the server);

    • the work schedule defining the operational hours for this entity (tab Shift, variable Shift);

    • optionally, the transport accessibility of the entity — for example, travel time between production sites (default: 10 minutes).

  4. Expand the hierarchy with data about existing zones and storage cells.

  5. Populate the reference list of existing employee qualifications.
    This can be done via the Additional Properties of the Qualifications model by filling in the variable of the same name (Qualifications).

  6. Register or create user accounts using the Users context in the system tree.

  7. For each created employee, using Edit Additional Properties, specify:

    • the production entity they are assigned to (tab Properties);

    • hourly and overtime rates;

    • list of employee qualifications;

    • the employee’s time zone and assigned shift.

  8. (Optional) Update measurement units to match those used in your facility.
    Edit the content of the Units of Measurement variable in the Units of Measurement context.

  9. Add products used in production. Create new product instances in the Products context.

  10. Use the Segments context to define existing elementary technological operations.

  11. For finished products and components, define production recipes using the Recipes context.

  12. Populate information on lots stored in storage cells. This can be done via the Storage variable in the cell configuration or using the Set Storage function.

  13. Define information on existing work orders through Edit Additional Properties of production entities.
