Default Administrator Account

The default administrator's account is a user account that is created on every new Iotellect Server installation:

• Username: admin

• Password: admin

You are advised to change the password as soon as possible.

The default administrator has permission to do everything. Technically speaking, his permissions table contains just a single record that grants him Administrator-level access to all Iotellect Server contexts:

The default administrator account cannot be deleted or disabled, and its permissions table cannot be edited.

Using the default administrator account on a daily basis is generally very bad practice, just like using the Windows default administrator or Linux root. The account should be used only for particular “should never happen” operations like system recovery.
