File-Based Storage

File-based storage allows Iotellect Server to keep individual data elements, such as configuration items and binary blocks, in separate files within the server's local filesystem.

Because file-based configuration and binary data storage have a low performance overhead, they're appropriate for installations on low-performance systems like the Raspberry Pi, BeagleBone Black, and other single-board ARM-based PCs running Linux OS.

File storage does not support any additional configuration options.

File-based storage is not suitable for long-term production usage! Using a file-based database in high-load production installations may result in data loss. It's necessary to switch to any enterprise-grade database once the system is switched into production mode. Unexpected LS% shutdowns may cause DB corruption.
