Maintenance Mode
Maintenance mode allows Iotellect administrators to temporarily prevent regular users from using the system. This is useful during scheduled downtime periods when serious system reconfiguration takes place.
Maintenance mode can be controlled using two actions available in the root context:
Start Maintenance Mode
Stop Maintenance Mode
![]() | Maintenance mode is independent from safe mode. Both modes may be used simultaneously. |
Maintenance Mode Initiation
Iotellect Server performs the following operations once maintenance mode is initiated:
Terminates all user sessions except for the one that was used to start maintenance mode
Saves maintenance mode status in the server configuration file so that the maintenance will be resumed upon server restart
Operations in Maintenance Mode
Maintenance mode introduces several changes to normal system operation:
Any users except for the default administrator are not allowed to log in
All devices are prevented from connecting
The connection status of all devices is set to "Maintenance"
All API calls from third-party systems are prohibited (except for API sessions authenticated as default administrator)
All web UI users are redirected to a dedicated Maintenance page
