Instances

Web dashboard instance is a copy of dashboard that is running or cached in Iotellect Server memory.

Every instance comprises context tree of dashboard UI components including actual values of component properties that were loaded from dashboard template or resulted from prior dashboard binding executions.

Every dashboard instance is identified by several parameters that constitute its unique ID:

• Path of the dashboard context
• Token (unique ID) of the web session of the Web UI user
• Unique ID of the browser tab in which the dashboard is running

Instance IDs are used to store and find dashboard instances inside their cache.
