Groups Performance

Static groups are passive server components that don't cause significant CPU load or memory usage.

Dynamic groups may rarely cause considerable CPU load if group's Validity Expression re-evaluation is often triggered by group's Validity Update Rules. See expression performance to estimate the performance impact.

Example: If a dynamic group includes 100 devices and its Validity Update Rules refer device event that's triggered by every device at 10 Hz rate, the Validity Expression will be evaluated 1000 times per second.
