Simple Mode

Iotellect is an application enablement platform, so its users are divided into "power users" (platform administrators, system engineers, solution/service/product developers, etc.) and "regular users" operating platform-based solutions and services (operators, technicians, analysts, data scientists, application-level administrators, etc.)

While power users need to access platform's own configuration and administrative actions, regular users, in their turn, must be isolated within their application-specific interfaces.

Simple Mode is used to hide platform's administrative interfaces from regular users. Activated by the Simple Mode setting of a user account, simple mode prevents any toolbars and administrative dashboards from opening upon user login. Only dashboards and UI components added to auto-run list will be displayed in Simple Mode.

If users log in using simple mode and no auto-run actions are configured for them, they will see a maintenance page indicating they do not have access.
