Manual Schedule Manager

The Manual Schedule Manager (users.%.dashboards.manualScheduleManager) is a dashboard that allows users to work with the Schedule Manager in manual mode.

The dashboard is organized into several progressive tabs, each corresponding to a specific scheduling phase. Users navigate between tabs using the Back and Next buttons located at the bottom of the page.

Tab 1 — Input Data

The first tab defines the core input parameters of the scheduling algorithm.
At the top of the panel, users specify:

  • The time range for schedule generation.

  • The root production entity, which defines the planning scope.

These parameters are set using the Date/Time selector and the Dropdown Tree component, respectively.

The main area of the panel contains:

  • A floating table “Commercial Orders”, used to define the list of commercial orders to be scheduled.

  • A floating subdashboard “Global Schedule” — the Schedule Editor/Viewer dashboard
which allows users to define cancelled work orders and adjust the global schedule passed to the manager.

When the user clicks Next, the system switches to the second tab and launches Phase 1 of the scheduling algorithm.

Tab 2 — System Snapshots

The second tab displays system snapshots collected during Phase 1 in a tabular format. These snapshots contain reference data extracted from the MES system, including employee shifts, inventory states, and resource availability. Users can modify the captured data to perform “what-if” analysis or to adjust planning parameters before moving forward.
After clicking Next, the updated snapshots are saved to the Schedule Manager instance, Phase 2 starts automatically, and the dashboard switches to the third tab.

Tab 3 — Production Order Drafts

The third tab presents preliminary production order drafts that form the basis of the generated schedule. It includes:

  • A floating Work Order Drafts panel showing production order templates.

  • A read-only Work Order Tree reconstructed according to production genealogy.

  • A Storage Unit Status panel displaying warehouse inventory and preliminary raw-material reservations required for the planned orders.

  • An error log section at the bottom of the page showing messages from Phase 2 execution.

Clicking Next saves any edits made to the drafts, launches Phase 3 of scheduling, and opens the fourth tab.

Tab 4 — Schedule Generation

The fourth tab visualizes the real-time progress of schedule generation.
It includes two non-editable views:

  • A table showing work orders that have already been placed into the preliminary schedule.

  • A progress table summarizing scheduling status by commercial orders.

This tab is informational only.
After Phase 3 completes, the Next button becomes active, allowing the operator to proceed to the final approval stage.

Tab 5 — Schedule Approval

The fifth tab enables the operator to review and approve the generated schedule.
It embeds the Schedule Editor/Viewer dashboard pre-populated with data on created, modified, and cancelled work orders and product lots.

Within the editor, the operator can make last-minute adjustments before confirmation.
Clicking Apply at the bottom of the page commits the schedule to all relevant production entities and storage units, then returns the user to the first tab.
