Event Correlation

Event correlation allows Iotellect Server to find simple relations between two similar events, one of which is the originator of a certain process (or state), and the other terminates this process.

Event correlation is performed by Correlators or alerts' Event Triggers. Every trigger activates an alert upon receiving the first event (called the primary event) and deactivates it upon receiving another event (the correlated event). Both events are pre-processed according to trigger expression, allowing for the activation and deactivation of alerts upon events of the same type having differing parameters.
