OEE Quick Start

  1. Install and start the Iotellect Server, version 6.4 or later.

  2. Log in to the system.

  3. Deploy the preinstalled Platform Administration Kit application if it is not already deployed, then reopen the server administration panel.

  4. Install the Iotellect Monitoring MES Solution or the Iotellect Monitoring MES Core and Iotellect Monitoring MES Performance and OEE modules from the public store, and restart the server.

  5. After installation and deployment of the MES Core and MES OEE applications, the system tree automatically includes the required models, contexts, and dashboards.

  6. Populate the system with basic configuration data such as work shifts, production entities, products, and other relevant information.

  7. Configure OEE on production entities.

  8. Activate the required statistical channels within the instantiable models of production entities or their specific instances in the system tree.

The Iotellect Monitoring MES Performance and OEE module adds a relative OEE model, a relative Production Entity OEE Metrics dashboard for each production entity, and an absolute OEE Manager model, along with an absolute OEE dashboard accessible from the product sidebar.

OEE and the associated metrics needed for its calculation (availability, performance, quality) are stored in granules. Granule settings are available in production entity instance models and production entity instances for more flexible configuration. By default, granules are configured to calculate OEE by hours and shifts. The OEE calculation method and granule size can be changed as needed.
