Web UI
Iotellect Web UI is a browser-based web interface that allows users to access Iotellect platform, as well as operate solutions, products and services based on it. Web UI is used by operators, administrators, developers and engineers to perform the following:
Deploy, configure and administer Iotellect Server, all its modules and plugins, as well as all products and services based on it
Connect, configure, manage, monitor and supervise devices and data sources
Store, analyse and visualise any data available within the unified data model
Develop solutions, products and services using Iotellect's back-end and front-end development tools
Operate those solutions, products and services in production mode
 | An alternative to Web UI is an older desktop-based Iotellect Client application. It might still be useful for some automation projects that require kiosk-type UIs, SCADA-type HMIs and similar user interfaces. |
Web UI operation relies on the embedded web server.
Embedded Web Server
Web UI is an React-based Rich Internet Application (an application that can be accessed using a standard web browser), so needs a web server to run. This web server is built into the Iotellect Server and tightly integrated with its functions. It starts automatically each time the Iotellect Server is launched and shuts down when the Iotellect Server is stopped.
