Generic Information About Agent

The Agent application may be used:

• To represent one or more hardware devices for Iotellect (e.g. PC-based vending machine running a .NET application that uses Agent library to communicate with Iotellect Server for providing supply stats and remote service operation handling).

• To communicate with one or more external hardware devices via serial, Wi-Fi, GPRS or other links to make them available for Iotellect (e.g. programmable module collecting data from temperature, humidity and pressure sensors and making this data available within Iotellect).

In order to proceed with connecting your devices to Iotellect with Agent, you should be familiar with different concepts of the system, such as representing of devices as contexts containing a set of variables, functions and events.
