The Alert Wizard is a guided tool for creating and configuring alerts. It interactively walks you through each step: choosing an alert type, defining its properties, setting notification channels, and configuring trigger conditions.
After you complete the configuration steps in the wizard, the system creates the alert and confirms success. The new alert appears in your context and can be adjusted later if needed.
Starting the Wizard
You can open the wizard in two ways:
From the Alert Wizard context menu by selecting Launch
From a variable (some parameters are pre-filled)
Steps in the Wizard
The wizard guides you through the following steps:
Basic Information
Enter a name, description, and message for the alert.
Then choose one of following types:
Variable Value Tracking — Raises an alert when the variable value does not match the configured condition. Select the variable fields to evaluate and define a trigger expression for them (including comparison operators). Use this type to validate data against expected ranges or rules.
Forthcoming SLA Breakdown — Raises an alert in advance if the statistical trend shows that a numeric SLA threshold will soon be exceeded.
Anomaly Detection — Triggers an alert when atypical or anomalous variable values are detected. Configure the machine-learning module (or keep the default settings) and provide training data by uploading a dataset or selecting a time range from the variable history to train the model.
Geofence Breach — Triggers an alert when an object leaves a preconfigured geofence or appears inside it. Select the geofence context configured in the Geofence Editor to monitor object movement and location changes in real time.

Advanced Settings
Configure the general alert behavior:
Add corrective actions (automatic and interactive)
Set whether the alert should activate on outdated data

Notification Channels (optional)
Enable one or more delivery channels if you need notifications. Supported channels include: Seven.io, Twilio (SMS), Telegram, WhatsApp, or e-mail.
Each channel requires service-specific connection details.

Notification Setup
Select recipients and assign delivery channels. Optionally, provide an expression to evaluate when the alert fires.
Variable Selection
If you didn’t start the wizard from a variable, choose the source you want to monitor here.

Type-Specific Configuration
Configure details according to the chosen type:
Variable Value Tracking — Select the fields of the chosen variable that will be used as alert triggers, and define trigger expressions for those fields. Optionally, set Check Period and Level.
Forthcoming SLA Breakdown — Select a statistical channel, set the numeric SLA threshold, and specify the warning interval (how far in advance the system should notify about a potential breach). Optionally, set Check Period and Level. If the selected variable has no statistical channels, the wizard reports an error.
Anomaly Detection — Configure the machine-learning module or keep the default settings. Optionally, set Check Period and Level. Then provide training data by uploading a dataset or selecting it from the variable history by specifying the start and end dates of the training period.
Geofence Breach — Select the geofence context that was configured in the Geofence Editor. Optionally, set Check Period and Level.
After you complete all steps, the wizard creates the alert and confirms success. The new alert appears in your context and you can adjust it later if needed.
