Startup and Shutdown
This article explains how to start/stop Iotellect Client that is installed in unified operations console mode.
The Iotellect Client is started by a special Launcher created during the installation process. Launcher type depends on the operating system: Under Unix, it's the iot_client
shell script, while under Windows it is a small exe file accessible through the Start menu (Start > Programs > Iotellect > Client) or as a desktop shortcut:
Workspace Login
Once Iotellect Client is launched, you need to login to the workspace. Select a workspace and enter its password in the dialog:

If a workspace with the given name does not exist, you will be prompted to create a new one:
You can authorize from a remote Iotellect Client to any Iotellect Server via the graphical user interface.
By using the -r
parameter you can enter a server address, port, login and password.
You can also authorize in the Simple Mode by using the parameters: -r -s
.
By using the parameters -address
and -port
you can specify a server address and port respectively so that a user couldn’t change these settings while authorizing.
